OFLUXO

Through installation and sound,  lvaro Chior focuses on the tensions and conflicts between different material and linguistic processes, between the discursive and the fictional, between the organic and the over-designed, and the gestural and the automated.

 

Departing from the sound of the rain on the gutters, Garabato en la glotis speculates and reflects on the idea of flux, the origins of music, its notation, representation, and affective and material conditions.

 

On two separate dates in the final days of the show,  lvaro Chior activated the exhibition through a performative reading and a sound intervention. Proto revolved around topics such as the origin of language, the articulation of voice, gestures, proto writing, the relationships between these events with movement and rhythm, as well as the material and bodily implications and conditions present in these processes.

 

This exhibition was the third intervention of the series Meandro Merodeo, which explored the intersection between the experiential and fantastical with the exhibition space.
