a torrential downpour. a gentle trickle.  

Grief, like water, follows its own dynamics and cycles. Like a steady stream, gradually wearing down emotional barriers. Or like a rush – a crashing wave, that engulfs everything to then recede.

As a flood of tears the river meanders through the terrain, back into the sea.
