P is available via Landfill Editions and accompanies Ito’s solo exhibition PII at Primary, Nottingham on view from 28th September — 17th November, 2018

Landfill Editions, the ever-reliable print house behind Mould Map is here with a new title shockfull of content, layered colors and textures all together for Parker Ito’s dazzling exhibition-companion publication P. This limited-edition art book assumes the role of a long-form dissertation of Ito’s chaotic and amplifyed painting by the same tile, P. This piece is presented in the exhibition PII at Primary, Nottingham where the LA artist interpreted a series of etchings from Albrecht Dürer into a colored and insanly anarchic composition.

The pages of P are amazingly designed by Hugh Frost, featuring Notes on P, an essay in Japanese detailing reference points contained in the painting P which runs throughout the entire book, reproduced in a limited tri-tone Pantone based color scheme, drawings of paintings, studies for other works, a speculative text on the life and times of Dürer by Dean Kissick, a series of documentation images of the painting P, clear acetate versions of Ito’s portrayls reminiscent of Dürer’s engravings and comissioned portraits of the artist by the hands of Landfills’ clan Leon Sadler, Jonny Negron, Maren Karlson and others.

P is available via Landfill Editions and the solo exhibition PII is on view untill November 17 at Primary, Nottinghams
