The place that can never be

Anna Taganzeva at Plague Space, Krasnodar
March 25 — May 07, 2023

Exhibition view

We look through the window and control reality, light and shadow pass through the window and we understand what time of day it is.  In case of fire, we can climb out through the window.  This room has two windows.  One window is covered with a film and nothing can be seen through it except the film.  There are marks on the glass itself.  Maybe someone tried to squeeze it out.  The second window is bricked up and we don’t know if there’s anything behind it.  Where does this window lead to?  There is no light behind it, but the masonry of the wall is relatively new.
