Touch Points is the collaborative sculptural practice of Jemima Lucas and Shannon Toth, developed over a month-long residency at HAIR ARI located in Naarm (Melbourne). Working within a propositional space, boundaries loosen and reform as materials swell, slump and smother. Divergent gestures hover at the edge of movement, caught on a precipice where action is sensed but withheld. Pathways forward appear only in fragments—visible, yet untaken. Testing durability and duress across divergent material approaches – reveal encounters of shifting forces between their practices. Where pressure, support and collapse continually reconfigure object relationships. The works operate as gestures and amalgams suspended at the threshold of a happening—poised, unresolved, and held in a state of becoming.
